I don't think there is a more lovely, calming, grounding smell than that of hops flowers. I can physically feel my energy being pulled from my crown, downwards to my root. I'm assuming that's due to the bitter action of the plant that helps the downward pull. 
Traditionally used to help soothe restless minds and sleep disturbances by impacting circadian rhythm. Also good for the journey into menopause and can support the immune system.
Hops is an amazing bitter. The bitter flavor aids the digestive system, providing that spark of digestive fire needed before meals.
