Mugwort has many uses in both herbalism and mysticism. 
 
Mugwort is a bitter, pungent and aromatic plant, that has an affinity for the liver, digestive, nervous, and reproductive systems. Mugwort is both warming and cooling. Most bitter herbs are cooling, but with Mugwort's high volatile oil compounds- this brings additional warmth. 
 
Avoid during pregnancy, as Mugwort is an emmenagogue, and can cause the uterus to contract.
